A Prater Family Update

Hello all,

I know it has been quite a while since we have posted an update here and I truly apologize for that. Last year was quite a long and hard year in our house and 2011 officially seems to be an improvement.

We (Mae-Lei and I) spent the week before Christmas at Disney World again with my parents, Sister, nieces and nephew. What a great week!!! The resort we stayed at was amazing and the sights from our patio attached to our room were amazing. We saw a WILD turkey, numerous deer and various other animals. Additionally, after going for a jog the first morning we were there, I abstained the rest of the trip. We were on the golf course and after jogging the cart path, on my way back to the room a couple of the grounds people warned me about some of the truly "wild life" that roams that section of the golf course. Included in that list was one fairly big gator, a wildcat and some others. Needless to say, I stayed in the fitness center the rest of the trip.

Mae-Lei recently passed day 100 of Kindergarten and is currently tracked out. She is in year-round and enjoys the break every nine weeks. During her track out this time, we are headed back to Florida and back to Shades of Green at Disney to stay while we visit NASA and watch the next to last shuttle launch. This is a night launch and we are all quite excited. My nephew has actually had his school days excused because of the educational experiences he will have. We don't need to worry about Mae-Lei since she is already out of school.

Mitch is working days now which makes life much easier for all of us and especially dinners and bedtime.

Mae-Lei has become quite the dancer and has decided for the time being to forego any sports activities in favor of her dance class. Her recital is coming up in June. She adores her teacher and is picking it all up so quickly.
